In the same manner, we are guilty of aborting our destinies and the purposes that God has for us when we find ourselves in uncomfortable situations. Your discomfort is less important to God than your character. Life is lived in phases and you must grow and develop through some struggles to bring out the best in you. Life doesn’t hand you instant results just because you want them. You have to learn how to earn them by wrestling with difficulty until you win. Any ill-timed or misdirected effort made will abort God’s dealings with you. When God plans to enlarge and bless you, He first takes you down into the depths of discouragement, into a quagmire of hopeless situations. Those situations produce maturity and perseverance. They teach you submission. Pressure produces enlargement. It makes you a better man or woman for the task ahead. Regardless of the kind of pressure that you may be in right now, I submit to you that you may as well consider it all joy knowing that it is producing for you a far greater weight of glory that will revealed when you get over it.
