Inspired Living!

Dignified stand in calmness

One of the biggest undoing of the young people in our generation is that they don’t know how to deal with delayed gratification. For them, everything must be now, quick and instant. They want instant coffee, instant tea, instant riches and wealth, instant fame, instant husband or wife, instant promotion, instant shower, instant success, instant photo, instant this and the other. Hear me good! God doesn’t operate like that for that would reduce Him to an ATM or Santa clause.

You have got to learn how to wait patiently. You may have heard me say it before that ‘life is not about speed, it is about calculation and direction’. Even if it takes how long, remember that one day is like a thousand years before God. James, the brother to Jesus, wrote a book and in that book, he admonishes us to wait patiently like a farmer waits for his crop to grow and mature. In another book, believed to have been written by Paul the apostle, in it he postulates that we should emulate the men of old who though FAITH and PATIENCE did exploits in their lives. If you are serious about doing something great with your life, I submit to you that you must learn how to endure patiently and unwaveringly. There is no road too long to the man who advances deliberately and without haste, no honors too distant to the man who prepares for them with patience.
